What is Chin Augmentation? 

Chin augmentation enhances the contours of the lower face by adding volume and structure to the chin. This procedure is commonly performed with a biocompatible implant or surgical reshaping to achieve a more sculpted look. The incisions are placed discreetly inside the mouth or beneath the chin to minimize visible scarring. 

Candidates for Chin Augmentation 

Ideal candidates for chin augmentation are individuals who feel their chin is too small, lacks projection, or does not complement their facial features. This procedure is beneficial for those seeking a more balanced profile. Chin Augmentation Procedure 

Chin augmentation is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of the procedure. If using an implant, a small incision is made either under the chin or inside the mouth, and the implant is placed securely over the bone. If opting for surgical reshaping, the bone may be adjusted to create a more defined look. The incisions are then carefully closed to ensure a natural and refined result. 

Chin Augmentation Recovery 

Recovery from chin augmentation is typically smooth, with mild swelling and bruising subsiding within one to two weeks. Patients should keep their heads elevated and follow post-operative care instructions to ensure optimal healing. Most individuals can return to normal activities within a week, with final results becoming more apparent as swelling diminishes.

“Would do it Again!”

Dr. Paul Daraei performed blepharoplasty on both my eyes. He removed the very pronounced bags from under my eyes and removed tissue from my upper eyelids that made it look like I did not have eyebags, when my eyes were open. Let me say this is the best thing I have done for my appearance and would do it again!
