The lip is an extension of the mucosa inside the mouth and is softer and can be slightly wet. As the skin of the upper lip is removed, the lip mucosa can be heightened. A lip lift can create greater upper-lip show and definition without adding the same type of volume associated with injectable fillers, and its results are long-lasting.
