What is a Lower Eyelid Lift? 

A lower eyelid lift targets excess fat, loose skin, and muscle laxity beneath the eyes, contributing to puffiness and an aged appearance. This procedure removes excess fat to reduce the appearance of under-eye bags while tightening the surrounding skin for a smoother appearance. Depending on your unique needs, the procedure can be performed through a hidden incision inside the lower eyelid or beneath the lash line for optimal correction.

Candidates for a Lower Eyelid Lift 

Ideal candidates for lower blepharoplasty are individuals who struggle with persistent under-eye bags, hollowing, or loose skin that does not improve with non-surgical treatments. Lower Eyelid Lift Procedure 

A lower eyelid lift is typically performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of correction needed. The procedure involves making a small incision inside the lower eyelid or just beneath the lash line to access and reposition or remove excess fat. If necessary, the skin is gently tightened to eliminate fine lines and sagging while preserving a natural appearance. 

Lower Eyelid Lift Recovery 

Recovery from lower blepharoplasty is typically mild. Most patients experience mild swelling and bruising for the first week. Cold compresses and keeping the head elevated can help reduce swelling. Most individuals can return to normal activities within seven to ten days, with final results becoming more noticeable as residual swelling subsides. There is minimal scarring as the incisions are hidden within the eyelid or along the lash line.

“Absolutely no Judgment”
